Owen Bradley Quintet - Big Guitar
Owen Bradley was primarily a record producer. He is credited with being an architect of the Nashville sound that popularised country music in the '60s. In 1961 he bought a farm just outside Nashville and converted the barn into a first-class recording studio, Bradley's Barn. This became one of the most
popular and legendary studios in country music. Today's selection is a guitar driven (obviously!) shaker from 1958. It features the big guitars of Grady Martin and Hank Garland, Bob Moore's bass, Buddy Harman's drums, Dutch McMillin's tenor sax and piano courtesy of Owen Bradley himself.
