The Flee-Rekkers - Bitter Rice
And now for some British instrumental rock'n'roll. This vaguely Tequila sounding selection was released as a b-side in 1961. It was recorded and produced by Joe Meek at his studio on Holloway Road; slightly more than a stones throw, but not far from my current abode. The group's strange name is an adaptation of tenor saxman Peter Fleerackers' Dutch surname. And, apparently, the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Dave Cameron, plays guitar.
